Abstract
Background: To evaluate the effect of cross training in rehabilitation treatment after meniscus injury in elderly.

Methods: Sixty patients who were injured meniscus were recruited. They were randomized to cross training group (N=30) and control group (N=30). We measured the difference of thigh circumference between pre-exercise and post-exercise, the KOOS (knee injury and osteoarthritis outcome score), SF-36, and functional test before and after rehabilitation in both groups by Lysholm Knee Scale, Shuttle run test.

Results: After 3 months treatment, the comparison of results were done. The results of cross training group were better than those of control group especially for comparisons of psychological factors. In functional test, and Lysholm Scale had a negative correlation with a Shuttle run test.

Conclusion: We have to know the importance of cross training in rehabilitation after meniscus injury for successful recovery.
